MIDI-CTRL
Program your MiniCommand
Banner

The MIDI-CTRL environment allows you to program your own firmwares for the MiniCommand. Use the powerful Ruin & Wesen libraries to send and receive MIDI messages, write your own sequencers, access the internal SD-Card storage, and create easy GUIs for the MiniCommand. Also included is an extensive library for controlling the Elektron MachineDrum, allowing you to control every possible parameter, store and load patterns, songs and kits, and fully leverage the possibilities of this machine. Support for additional grooveboxes and synthesizers will be added in the future. The MIDI-CTRL environment integrates a modified version of the Arduino editor to allow for simple development of new firmwares. However, neither the Minicommand nor the MIDI-CTRL framework is based on Arduino, just the editor has been used. MIDI-CTRL is entirely opensource, and you can check out the sourcecode from github.

The old codename for the MIDI-CTRL framework was MidiDuino. However, that name was quite confusing, as it suggested that the MiniCommand and its sourcecode was based on Arduino, which it isn't. We are migrating the name from MidiDuino to MIDI-CTRL, but some documents will still refer to the framework by its old name.

The Patch Manager is a java program aimed for "normal" users (not developers), allowing them to browse and download new firmwares stored on the Ruin and Wesen website. It is similar to the app store on the iphone or the android, but contains opensource firmwares for the MiniCommand.
